- Professor Marwa Abdallah Professor and Former Head of Dermatology Department, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt Head of the Phototherapy Unit since 2006 and Head of Vitiligo Clinic since 2015- to date. Marwa Abdallah and her family have a private Dermatology Clinic (Cutis, The Skin Clinic) since 1999. Since 1997, vitiligo became her passion and is currently board member of the Egyptian Vitiligo Society Marwa’s other fields of interests are Lasers, Phototherapy and Pigmentary disorders. She co-authored in a number of Dermatology Textbooks (Bolognia’s Dermatology, Moschella and Hurly, Pigmented Ethnic Skin and Imported Dermatoses) and has more than 55 national and international publications. On international levels, she is an international fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (iFAAD), member of the EADV, Vitiligo Task Force (VTF) & Global Vitiligo Foundation (GVF), where she has participated as a speaker and chaired sessions at their meetings. Recently she co-chaired the 6th VIS (vitiligo international symposium) , which was held in Cairo, Egypt in December 2024. As a secretary general of ESAD/Sharmderma, she arranged and participated a good number of its meetings in the last 15 years.
