About: Dr. Nellie Konnikov, MD, is a highly accomplished dermatologist and leader in academic medicine who serves as the President of the International Society of Dermatology and the Chief of Dermatology at the Boston VA Healthcare System. After earning her medical degree from Moscow Medical School, she completed her dermatology training in Moscow and a combined residency program at Boston University and Tufts University. Currently a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at both Boston University School of Medicine and Tufts Medical School, Dr. Konnikov oversees care for veterans across five New England states and has spearheaded the regional development of teledermatology systems to expand specialized access. Her specialized clinical and research interests encompass skin cancer, photodynamic therapy (PDT), non-surgical cosmetic dermatology, and facial volume restoration. Over her distinguished career spanning several decades, she has also served as President of the New England Dermatological Society and shared her expertise globally by conducting advanced clinical masterclasses.
