- Professor Moustapha Hamdi is a world-renowned, board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Brussels, Belgium, who is widely considered a global authority on microsurgery and advanced breast reconstruction. Currently serving as the Head of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Brussels University Hospital, he is most famous for his pioneering work with perforator flaps (DIEP flap) and for developing the innovative "Inner Bra" technique for breast lifting. A graduate of the University of Damascus with advanced training across Europe and the USA, Professor Hamdi has published over 200 scientific articles and served as the President of the Royal Belgian Society for Plastic Surgery. Beyond his academic roles, he maintains an active international clinical presence at the Ogeeplast Clinic and as a consultant in Dubai and Doha, while leading the Hamdi Foundation to advance surgical education and patient care worldwide.
